About the Award
Supported by the late Professor (Dr) Lee Fook Hong, the Lee Fook Hong Taxation Award is given annually to a top graduating Bachelor of Accountancy student at the Singapore Management University.
The award will be presented at the SMU Commencement Ceremony (School of Accountancy Undergraduate Ceremony).
Eligibility Criteria
The award will be given annually to the top graduating Bachelor of Accountancy student with the highest GPA for the following Taxation subjects:
- ACCT223 Taxation
- ACCT403 Advanced Taxation
The award will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

About the Donor
The late Dr Lee Fook Hong was a Practising Chartered Secretary and Management Consultant. He spoke at many conferences and published articles, books and conference papers pertaining to corporate administration, company meetings, corporate governance and taxation. Through his extensive experience in lecturing and programme development, Dr Lee spearheaded developing and designing course programmes for executives, which has been conducted at SIM university for many years. Dr Lee was awarded both the Public Service Medal and Service to Education Award for his contributions to society and sincere desire to impart knowledge.
To mark his contributions to society, a memorial facebook page was setup in memory of the late Dr Lee.
