About the Financial Award
The Moore Stephens Scholarship, established in 2007, is made possible by Moore Stephens LLP Singapore.
The scholarship is available to students enrolled in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the School of Accountancy at the Singapore Management University. The objective of the scholarship is to support and spur the students to achieve excellence in their studies and to accord appropriate recognition to the recipients for their accomplishments.
Eligibility Criteria
For undergraduate students (with priority consideration):
- Enrolled in the Bachelor of Accountancy programme
- Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents
- Outstanding academic achievements (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40)
- Demonstrate active involvement in co-curricular activities and community service pursuits.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a good sense of citizenship within SOA or the broader SMU community.
- Be interested in a career in public accounting
- Completed, or if not, agree to a minimum ten-week internship programme with Moore Stephens LLP Singapore.
- Special consideration will be given to students who are favourably inclined to join Moore Stephens LLP Singapore upon graduation.
- Past recipients of the Mdm Tan Gim Tee (Mrs Aw Kim Swee) Scholarship may be considered, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.
For postgraduate students enrolled in Master of Professional Accounting or Master of Science in Accounting (Data & Analytics):
Selection of eligible postgraduate candidates will be managed by the MPA and MSA Programme office.
Benefits
- Tenable for one year of study
- Valued at $10,000
- The scholarship will offer financial support towards the recipient’s annual tuition costs and/or study-related expenses
- The recipient may be offered career opportunity prior to/upon graduation with Moore Stephens LLP Singapore
Learning and Development opportunities
- The recipient must have completed, or if not, agree to a minimum ten-week internship programme with Moore Stephens LLP Singapore.
