About the Award

The Phang Sing Eng Prize for the Top Student in Contract Law is made possible from the proceeds of an endowed sum of $100,000 by The Honourable Justice Andrew Phang. The Prize inspires and motivates exceptional students' talents from the Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor programmes offered by the Yong Phung How School of Law (YPHSL) at the Singapore Management University, and to spur them to greater heights of academic excellence.  It provides recognition for the top law student in Contract Law.

The Prize will be presented at a University-level event.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Prize be given annually to the top law student in the Contract Law course offered by YPHSL.
  • Factors considered include (but not limited to) the overall course grade and any other factors which demonstrate the student’s all-rounded abilities.

The Prize will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

Application

The recipient will be determined by YPHSL.
