About the Donor
A group of alumni and well-wishers have come together to establish the Quek Ling Kiong Arts and Culture Scholarship in support of students who endeavor to pursue a career in Arts and Cultural Management. This scholarship is dedicated to SMUCO conductor, Mr Quek Ling Kiong for his tremendous contribution to SMUCO and the Arts community. The group has seed-funded the scholarship and hope to invite more donors to support this initiative in creating a legacy to support deserving students pursuing their dreams in the Arts and Culture scene.
The scholarship is inspired by conductor/educator, Mr Quek, whose passion and dedication towards the Arts have developed many young individuals. The scholarship will have a mentoring component in addition to the monetary award. Mr Quek has kindly agreed to be the scholarship’s patron and will be involved in shaping the award and mentoring the recipients of this scholarship.
