About the Financial Award

Established by an anonymous donor, the Fund seeks to motivate and inspire full-time School of Accountancy (SOA) undergraduates who are in need of financial assistance to participate in overseas student programmes so as to gain international experience and exposure including but not limited to the following:

  • Overseas Exchange with an SMU partner university
  • Accounting Study Mission

Any other student related overseas activities that are approved by SOA which will enhance the educational experience of the students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates enrolled in the Bachelor of Accountancy programme (primary or secondary)
  • Any nationality
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • With demonstrated financial need (gross monthly household per capita income not exceeding $2,250)

For exchange programmes, applicable to SMU partner universities in China, India, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand only.

  • Overseas Exchange - $4,000
  • Accounting Study Mission - To be announced by SOA via email

Application 

Apply via student portal, OASIS (Self-Service App – Financial Aid Application), using student computer account username and password.

  • Exchange – in March (Fall) and October (Spring)
  • Accounting Study Mission – in June (Term 1) and December (Term 2)
