About The Scholarship
The objective of the Scholarship is to motivate and recognise outstanding Singapore Citizen undergraduates at SMU who have demonstrated financial need.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must:
- Offered admission to or enrolled in the four-year Bachelor of Laws programme at SMU
- Singapore Citizens
- Demonstrated financial need
- Possess good academic achievements and have performed well during the University’s admissions tests and interviews.
- Co-curricular activity records and community service pursuits may be taken into consideration.
- If there are two or more candidates of equal merit, priority will be given to the candidate with greater financial need.
Benefits
- The Scholarship is tenable for up to 4 years of the recipient’s academic studies, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award.
- The Scholarship will fund the recipient’s annual subsidised tuition fee and an additional $10,000 towards living expenses per academic year.
- The recipient will be offered an internship opportunity with the Donor, to participate in the Donor’s working committees chaired by esteemed members of the Judiciary, as well as the opportunity to meet and interact with leading practitioners and contribute to key developments.
Application Information
- Application for scholarships is to be made at the same time as your application for admission to SMU.
- Shortlisted applicants will be invited to SMU for a panel interview.
