About the scheme

SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) aims to encourage individuals to take ownership of their skills development and lifelong learning. All Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of S$500 from January 2016. Your credit will not expire and the government will provide periodic top-ups, so you may accumulate your credit. However, credit is not transferrable and can only be used for approved courses as listed on SFC directory.

You can use your credit to pay for or offset skills related course fees by applying for claim(s) starting January 2016. All Singaporeans aged 25 years old and above will be able to access their SFC account and submit a claim via www.skillsfuture.sg/credit once they receive their account activation letter.

SFC can be used on top of existing government course subsidies to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses. It can be used for ‘Qualifying Fees’ which include course fees, certification fees, assessment fees and GST. The SFC is not in the form of cash. It can only be used to pay for or offset the out-of-pocket course fees of approved courses. For the updated and complete list of courses available, please check on SFC Website: https://www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg

For account balances, you can check via the SFC portal using your Singpass.

Application Submission

You are required to submit your applications to both SFC and OASIS websites within the claim period (2 weeks before course start date) and in this order:|

Step 1 (submission to SFC) - Once the charge is posted to your student account, login to OASIS to download the Statement of Account. You would require this during the application in SFC website. Step 2 (submission to OASIS) - Login to OASIS again and submit your application using self-service app "Financial Aid Application" with the claim ID to complete the whole process.

(g)  Upon approval and successful disbursement from SkillsFuture, amount will be disbursed accordingly to your account.

(h)  If the claim is not successful, you would be notified by email.  Please make arrangement to pay the outstanding balance via other payment modes.

Important Notes

Starting 19 May 2017, claims payout to individuals are no longer available as an option. All disbursement will be made to training provider (SMU).
