SMU Fortitude Scholarship (Elevate@SMU)

Established in 2024, the objective of the SMU Fortitude Scholarship (Elevate@SMU) is to motivate undergraduate students at the School of Computing and Information Systems enrolled in the Elevate@SMU programme, with demonstrated financial needs to inspire academic excellence despite adversity and financial hardship. 

• Full-time incoming freshman enrolled in the Elevate@SMU programme in the School of Computing and Information Systems
• Singapore Citizen
• Preference for students with active CCA or community involvement with demonstrated leadership qualities
• Preference for candidates with demonstrated evidence of family household income where the gross monthly per capita income is in accordance with prevailing Singapore Ministry of Education guidelines

• $15,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
• Tenable for 4 academic years, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award

• May be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
• Scholarship is bond-free
• The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University

• Special consideration is given to applicants with financial needs. After you have submitted your admission application. You are required to submit a separate bursary application form via the Applicant’s Self Service from 1 January 1 to 31 May
