SMU Salutatorian Award

About the Award

The SMU Salutatorian Award is given annually to the second highest ranking graduating student from the graduating cohort at the Singapore Management University. The award is aimed at recognising exceptional students and to spur them to greater heights of excellence.

The award will be presented at the SMU Commencement Ceremony.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates vying for the award must meet the following criteria:

  • Achieved a summa cum laude
  • Outstanding leadership skills, with significant contributions to co-curricular activities and the community at large
  • Good character records
  • Excellent oratorical skills

The award will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

Benefits

Certificate and Cash Prize S$4,000 

Application

  • Applications will be invited in Term 2 annually.
  • Interested applicants must provide documentary evidence in support of fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
