About The Financial Awards
Established in 2011, the SMU SOA Scholarships has been renamed as SMU SOA Endowed Scholarship since Academic Year 2016-17 and are available to undergraduate students from the School of Accountancy (SOA) at the Singapore Management University. The objectives are to provide financial support and motivate SOA students to achieve greater heights of excellence, as well as assisting promising students to complete their tertiary education and become successful, caring professionals.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time SMU BAcc undergraduates of any nationality
- Proceeding to second year of study in the year of the award
- Good academic achievements (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
- Demonstrated excellence in areas of student life and community involvement
- A good sense of citizenship within the School of Accountancy and SMU community
- Evidence of financial hardship
Benefits
- $8,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
- Tenable for one year of study
Conditions of Award
- Singaporean students may be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
- The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University
