About the Award

Supported by Standard Chartered Bank, the Standard Chartered Best First Year Business Student Award is given annually to the most outstanding first year Bachelor of Business Management student at the Singapore Management University.

Eligibility Criteria

The award will be given annually to a first year Bachelor of Business Management student who meets the following attributes:

  • Outstanding academic results
  • A good track record in extra-curricular activities/community service
  • Contribution to the enrichment of student life at the university

The award will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

Benefits

Certificate and $1,500 Cash Prize

Application

  • Applications will be invited in Term 2 annually.
  • Interested applicants must provide documentary evidence in support of fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
  • Recipient will be determined by the Lee Kong Chian School of Business.
