About the Award

Established in 2010, the Tax Academy of Singapore Award for the Top Student in Advanced Taxation is given annually to recognise an outstanding graduating student in the Advanced Taxation course at the School of Accountancy (SOA), Singapore Management University.  The award is aimed at motivating students to excel in their studies.

The award will be presented at the SMU Commencement Ceremony (SOA Undergraduate Ceremony).

Eligibility Criteria

The award will be given annually to an outstanding graduating BAcc undergraduate with the best results in ACCT403 Advanced Taxation course offered by SOA. 

The award will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

Certificate and $1,500 Cash Prize

Application

Recipient will be determined by SOA.

About the Donor

Tax Academy of Singapore was set up in 2006 by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore in collaboration with the international accounting firms – Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore and the Law Society of Singapore.  A not-for-profit institution, our mission is to raise the professional competency of the tax community and to develop Singapore into a regional tax knowledge hub.
