About the Award

Established in 2010, the objective of the Award is to motivate exceptional students at the University and spur them to greater heights of academic excellence. It will provide recognition to the top student at the School of Accountancy (“SOA”) in the Advanced Taxation course offered by SOA.

The Award shall be granted at the University-level ceremony or at such other time or event at the discretion of the University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The top student shall be a full-time Bachelor of Accountancy student at the SOA of the University.
  • The Award will be awarded to the top student in the Advanced Taxation course offered by SOA in the Bachelor of Accountancy programme.

The award will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

Benefits

Cash Prize: S$2,000

Application

Recipient will be determined by SOA.

Tax Academy of Singapore is a not-for-profit institution set up by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore in collaboration with the international accounting firms - Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC, the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals, the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and the Law Society of Singapore.

The Tax Academy of Singapore Award for the Top Student in Advanced Taxation aims to recognise and support academic excellence, research potential, and the pursuit of knowledge.
