About the Financial Award

Established in 2024, the objective of the Wee Kim Wee Scholarship is to support bright freshmen enrolled in the College of Integrative Studies at the Singapore Management University with demonstrated financial needs, to achieve academic excellence and to accord appropriate recognition to the recipients of the Scholarship for their accomplishments.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time incoming freshmen enrolled in the College of Integrative Studies.
  • Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
  • Possessed good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00). 
  • Have demonstrated leadership and communications skills with record of co-curricular activity and/or community service involvement.
  • Special consideration will be given to students experiencing demonstrated financial difficulties, evidenced from family household income (gross monthly per capita income in accordance with prevailing income thresholds to qualify for bursaries)

Benefits

  • $15,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees and study-related expenses)
  • Tenable for 4 years of recipient’s academic studies, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award.
  • Recipient may be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria (for Singaporean students only).
