About the Donor
The Zhongni Scholarship celebrates the resilience, dignity, and potential of every student it supports, and motivates them to embrace the enduring values of Confucianism - humanity (rén), integrity (yì), respect (lǐ), wisdom (zhì).
The donor, Professor Lee Swee-Huat has an unwavering belief in inclusive education and the enduring values that transcend borders, cultures, and generations. Rooted in a deep commitment to educational equity, the Confucian ideal of education for all without discrimination (yǒu jiào wú lèi), as well as adaptive flexibility in the teaching process (yīn cái shī jiào) this scholarship embodies the conviction that access to higher learning has the power to transform lives.
Through this scholarship, Professor Lee honours the enduring ideal of education as a catalyst for personal growth and societal advancement, while underscoring the importance of supporting those who are from less privileged backgrounds with demonstrated potential to excel.
