The best experience from teaching at SMU is how much I’ve learned from my students. The interactive environment at SMU allows for a continuing dialogue with students throughout the courses.
Mainly for the active research environment but also of course for the opportunity of living in Singapore!
I teach International Economics B. My research areas are international trade theory and empirics, economic growth, multinational firms, global value chains.
We often have international visitors for research workshops, seminars and research collaborations. SMU’s city location always leaves visitors with a truly Singapore experience!
My favorite food on campus is the sotong ball and crispy chicken at the School of Economics (ground floor). It’s the perfect snack! Also, they make the best ice tea in town.
