"SMU’s seminar style classes emphasise on improving my inter-personal skills. I have also grown in many areas through my involvement in various co-curricular activities of academic clubs, sports, volunteering, exchanges and internships."

How has SMU’s city location enriched your university experience?

SMU is conveniently located between 4 MRT stations: City Hall, Dhoby Ghaut, Bencoolen and Bras Basah. Additionally, I get to hear the revving of F1 cars and soak in the F1 festivities during the F1 season.

Why did you choose your field of study / degree programme?

Accountancy provides a good viewpoint to understand the world of business. The art of accountancy details and consolidates the business’ finances for the public and key stakeholders. As someone who had zero prior exposure to the finance world, it opened my eyes to a different perspective. I also like to be analytical with numbers, something which seemed to suit well to accountancy.

A fun fact about SMU:

SMU library has an area that is accessible 24 hours.
