“Aside from academic development, SMU prioritises overseas exposure, student leadership, strong support for internships and career development, an impressive line of opportunities for young entrepreneurs, and innovative ways to develop a sense of community service."

How has your SMU scholarship benefitted you so far?

The scholarship’s overseas allowance allowed me to embark on a summer school at the University of Cambridge. It was an invaluable experience to have studied in a world-class institution and exchanged thoughts with the most brilliant minds from all over the world. Bonus - Sipping tea during the formal dinner in their Hogwarts-looking dining hall was so exciting 😊

What is your favourite spot on campus?

Li Ka Shing library reigns supreme any day.

Name your favourite class/mod at SMU.

Big Questions. Special shout-out to Prof Justin Tse for packaging dry topics in a super interesting way and for facilitating profound discussions.

What would you say to convince someone to come to SMU?

SMU allows me great independence in how I want my university years to be. You can take it easy with the number of modules you take in the early semesters or late semesters or in the middle, or you can also grind all the way. You can join a gazillion CCAs and communities, or you can choose to focus somewhere else. I highly value that flexibility in designing my own journey and have no regrets about choosing SMU.
