In fact, I am currently on my second international experience. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to go to HEC Paris for international exchange. As HEC Paris has a massive international community, the diversity of perspectives was eye-opening, and it was absolutely amazing to learn in such an environment.
Please share your internship experience.
In my penultimate year, I did an internship with GIC in the investment services department. Although I am an accounting student, I was tasked to analyse the processes and help to automate and streamline their operations. It showed me the importance of being able to learn quickly on the job as I was forced to pick up low-code tools and read different syntaxes used by the computer engineers. Beyond the hard skills, it is most important to learn quickly and take the initiative to value-add to the organisation.
What is your favourite spot on campus?
SMU Li Ka Shing library – it is a convenient place to have a quick nap in between lessons!
