What is one key lesson you learned at SMU that is still relevant to you today?
You can always build the most technically sound and brilliant product, but without a good business model, it will never succeed.
How has SMU transformed you and equipped you with the skillset to thrive in your current career?
SMU’s focus on both tech and business has provided great insights and trained me to perceive what can be done from a technical point of view, but has also trained me to regard each partnership, deal, or project from a business perspective. As my role requires me to consult clients on their project needs and requirements, this mindset allows me to both satisfy product users and their technical requirements.
If you had to start college all over again, what would you do differently?
I would take my GPA less seriously – it is merely a number and should not be pursued at the forfeiture of learning to satisfy my own curiosity.
