About The Scholarship
At the School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS), we take pride in training computing professionals to create value for business and society, through innovative IT solutioning. We welcome qualified applicants to apply for our new SCIS Achievements / Aspirations Scholarships.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time SMU first-year undergraduate student enrolling in the School of Computing and Information Systems
- Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident
- Good academic results
- Good record of co-curricular activity and/or community service involvement
- Good character record
Benefits
- Achievements Scholarship value of S$10,000 per annum and Aspirations Scholarship of value S$5,000 per annum both for 4 years will offset against the tuition fees
- Opportunity to be included in the SCIS ACE programme, with growth opportunities provided by the School of Computing and Information Systems
Conditions of Award
- Singaporean students may be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
- Scholarship is bond-free
- The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University
Tuition Grant Scheme
Non-Singaporean scholars are required to apply for the tuition grant provided by the Singapore Government. Under the tuition grant scheme, scholars will be required to work in Singapore-registered companies for a minimum period of three years upon graduation.
