SMU Changemakers: Nazhath Faheema, Social Harmony Advocate and Founder of hash.peace

It was her nomination as Muslim Youth Ambassador of Peace back in 2015 which exposed Nazhath Faheema to the problems surrounding extremism and self-radicalisation among youths. And so began the SMU School of Computing and Information Systems alumna's journey as an activist, as well as the founding of hash.peace. Today, Nazhath and her team at hash.peace continue to push for greater conversations to combat the growth of terrorist ideology in Singapore and to advocate for religious and racial harmony. In this series we pay homage to individuals at SMU who are dedicated to go beyond simply doing good, to advance the cause they believe in and effect a positive change in our world. From environmental issues, healthcare needs to helping the vulnerable, they are innovative problem-solvers who are determined to help communities overcome social issues and to ensure that no one gets left behind.
