About the Award
Supported by the Economic Society of Singapore, the Economic Society of Singapore Excellence Award (in Economics) is given annually to a top graduating student in the Bachelor of Science (Economics) programme from the School of Economics (SOE) at the Singapore Management University who has completed his/her Honours Thesis programme in Economics.
The award will be presented at the SMU Commencement Ceremony (SOE Undergraduate Ceremony).
Eligibility Criteria
The award will be given annually to the top graduating final year student in the Bachelor of Science (Economics) programme who best meets the following criteria:
- Completed Honors Thesis programme in Economics
- Achieved academic excellence
- Demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities
- Displayed innovativeness and an enterprising spirit in either student body or for the community
- Demonstrated outstanding service to the SMU community
The award will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit.
