Pang Yang Hoong Study Award

About the Financial Award

Established in 2021, the Pang Yang Hoong Study Award is available to outstanding first year undergraduates from the School of Accountancy at the Singapore Management University.  It is aimed at providing undergraduates equal access to education and to nurture them to be creative.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time first year undergraduates from the School of Accountancy
  • Singapore Citizens
  • Good academic results
  • Actively involved in co-curricular and/or community service activities
  • Special consideration for students with demonstrated financial needs (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)

Benefits

  • $10,292 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fee)
  • Tenable for one year of study

Conditions of Award

  • May be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
  • The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University

Application

Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.
