Thomson Shin Min Foundation Bursary

About the Financial Award

Established in 2014, the Thomson Shin Min Foundation Bursary aims to provide financial assistance to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University and to motivate them to achieve all-round excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
  • Singapore Citizens
  • Possess good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
  • With demonstrated financial needs (gross monthly per capita household income not exceeding $1,700)

Tenure and Benefits

  • $8,000 (towards subsidised tuition fee)
  • Tenable for one year of study
  • May be considered again in the subsequent year, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and terms and conditions of award.

Conditions of Award

  • May be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
  • The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University

Application

Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.
