IMPORTANT:

  1. You will not be eligible for any form of University or MOE-funded financial assistance (including CPF Education Loan Scheme, Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy, and withdrawal of available funds from Post-Secondary Education Account) throughout your course duration if your admission offer is without MOE Tuition Grant or you rejected MOE Tuition Grant.
  2. To qualify for a Government Bursary, you must be a Singapore Citizen with monthly gross household income (GHI) or per capita income (PCI) should not exceed $12,000 or $3,000, respectively.

(a) The tuition fees shown are annual amounts, payable in two equal instalments (50% each) in Term 1 and Term 2 of each academic year, commencing in August.

(b) The tuition fees shown exclude GST. International students will be charged GST at the prevailing rate of 9%.

Note 3The annual fee is a compulsory and non-refundable fee payable in Term 1 of every academic year. The fee is subject to vary annually.
Note 4Essential expenses including, but not limited to, food, transportation, clothing, telecommunications, books & stationery, personal expenses. Amount would vary between individuals, based on one's spending behaviour and programme of study.
Note 5For illustration purposes, the accommodation cost uses the average full-year stay on a twin-sharing basis at one of SMU's student residences.
Note 6Higher Education Student Loan (HESL) – For Tuition Fee (Non-Means Tested):
(a) No household income requirement to qualify.

(b) Interest-free during course duration, with interest commencing upon graduation or leaving the University.

(c) Singapore Citizen (SC): Up to 90% of the subsidised tuition fee payable by SC.
Permanent Resident (SPR): Up to 65% of subsidised tuition fee payable by SPR.
International Student (IS): Up to 45% of subsidised tuition fee payable by IS.
Note 7Higher Education Student Loan (HESL) – For Balance Fee and/or Living Allowance (Means-Tested):
(a) PCI should not exceed $3,500 (SC/SPR) or $1,875 (IS).

(b) Interest-free during course duration, with interest commencing upon graduation or leaving the University.

(c) SC: Remaining 10% of subsidised tuition fees and an annual living allowance of up to $4,100.
SPR/IS: Annual living allowance of up to $4,100.
