About the Financial Award

Established in 2013, the A-REIT Study Award is available to full-time undergraduate students from the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, School of Accountancy, School of Computing and Information Systems and Yong Pung  How School of Law at the Singapore Management University.  It is aimed at motivating and providing financial assistance to outstanding students to achieve greater heights of excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates from the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, School of Accountancy, School of Computing and Information Systems, and Yong Pung How School of Law
  • Singapore Citizens
  • Proceeding to year 2, 3 or final year of study (preference for students with interest in accountancy, business, economics, finance, environmental studies/management, law, sustainability, business/data analytics or related fields)
  • Good CCA participation and/or community service involvement 
  • Preference for students with demonstrated financial needs (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)

Benefits

  • $8,000 (towards annual subsidised tuition fees)
  • Tenable for one year of study
  • May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria

Learning and Development Opportunities

  • Recipients are expected to participate in meaningful community projects in key areas of need.  The community outreach can be served as part of SMU’s graduation requirement with a community, social or civic organisation. 
  • Recipients may be granted internship and/or career opportunities with Donor or its designated companies under mutually agreed terms.

Selection will be on the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

About the Donor
