The highlight of your student life at SMU so far.

I met my closest friend in SMU in my first class in my freshman year. It was a pleasant coincidence which I am extremely grateful for. Over time, our friendship grew stronger because of our love for desserts and our like-mindedness when it comes to the most random matter. Now, I can proudly say that I have forged a valuable friendship that will go beyond university. Aside from this friend, I have made a handful of other friends whose friendship I cherish.

What is your career aspiration and how have SMU’s career preparation programmes helped you in making progress towards your goals?

Currently, I am still considering between pursuing an accounting or a finance-related career. SMU’s career portal enables me to apply for all the available jobs easily. The portal serves to streamline the available internships and graduate-related jobs. SMU also holds alumni networking sessions and company visits and sharing sessions. This allows me to connect with people from various industries and understand what are the expectations of a graduate and what working in these companies may look like.
