About the Financial Award

Established by Associate Professor Themin and Mrs Febrita Suwardy in 2010, the Community Service Project (CSP)s Grant aims to provide assistance to full-time undergraduates undertaking or wishing to undertake community service projects in Singapore or overseas, facilitated through the Centre for Social Responsibility at the Singapore Management University.  The Grant seeks to cover expenses such as airfare, accommodation, travel vaccinations (as required) and project material cost.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates of any nationality enrolled in any degree programme
  • Preference for undergraduates (Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents) from the School of Accountancy
  • Projects must be duly endorsed by the Centre for Social Responsibility
  • Must have completed the compulsory minimum 80 hours of community service
  • Completed the compulsory minimum 80 hours of community service and with demonstrated continual desire to serve the community-at-large
  • Gross monthly household per capita (average) income not exceeding $2,700

Benefits

  • Up to $2,000 per grant
  • Tenable for the approved local/overseas student programme
