About the Financial Award
Established in 2022, the GMC Scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates from the School of Computing & Information Systems (SCIS) at the Singapore Management University. It is aimed at motivating outstanding undergraduates to spur them on to greater heights of academic excellence and to accord appropriate recognition to the recipients of the Scholarship for their accomplishments.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time SCIS undergraduates proceeding to their third year of study and enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) programme or Bachelor of Science (Software Engineering) SkillsFuture Work-Study degree programme
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
- Demonstrated financial need (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)
Benefits
- $12,500 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
- Tenable for one year of study
Conditions of Award
- Singaporean students may be in concurrent receipt of a government bursary, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria
- The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University
