About the Donor

The Ho See Beng Bursary is funded by the proceeds of an endowed sum by friends and business associates of the late Mr Ho See Beng, and the sale of his autobiography. The late Mr Ho was the former Member of Parliament, and co-founder and first President of the National Trade Union Congress. He was well-known for his contributions to the Singapore's Labour movement and honoured with the Public Service Star for his work in 1990.

The Bursary is available to full-time undergraduate students at the Singapore Management University. One bursary, tenable for one year, would be awarded from AY2015/16. The Bursary is aimed at supporting students in SMU who are facing financial constraints and to motivate them to reach excellence.
