About the Donor

Donors Flocy and Bonnie Joseph’s family name – Kalathil – carries profound historical and cultural weight, connecting them to their lineage and the contributions of their forefathers. Notably, education has been a cherished pursuit within the Kalathil Family, with several esteemed educators among their ranks. With this legacy, the Kalathil Joseph Family Study Award thus symbolises their commitment to honour their heritage, paying homage to their ancestors and amplifying the impact of their contributions to society.

Flocy and Bonnie aim to strengthen their commitment by making a meaningful difference to the lives of students who are deserving of quality education but lack the financial means. Through this, they hope that the students would in turn pay it forward, making an impact to their juniors in future.

Flocy is herself an alumna of SMU (ExecPhD, 2017).
