About the Financial Award

Established in 2020, the bursary is available to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.  It is aimed at assisting financially needy undergraduates to achieve academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time Singaporean undergraduates in any degree programme
  • Must be of good character and conduct
  • Demonstrated evidence of financial needs (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for university bursaries)

Benefits

  • $8,000 (towards subsidised tuition fees)
  • Tenable for one year of study
  • May be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.

Application

Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

The Lim Siah Mong Endowed Bursary is made possible by Mr Lim Siah Mong, Chairman of Lubritrade Trading Pte Ltd, to empower Singaporean undergraduates to fulfil their dreams in pursuing a high quality education at the Singapore Management University without any financial constraints. With the Bursary, Mr Lim hopes to inspire them to achieve outstanding academic results while maintaining good records in co-curricular activities and community service involvement.   This Bursary is available to full-time Singaporean undergraduates at the Singapore Management University. The Bursary is aimed at inspiring the best and deserving talented students to scale greater heights of academic and practical excellence.
