About the Financial Award

Established in 2021, the Pesi B Davar Memorial Scholarship Fund Emergency Grant is available to full-time Singaporean undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.  It is aimed at providing one-off financial assistance for students from the School of Computing and Information Systems, School of Accountancy and Lee Kong Chian School of Business, who face unexpected crisis or emergencies.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Undergraduates from the School of Computing and Information Systems, School of Accountancy and Lee Kong Chian School of Business.
  • Singapore Citizens
  • Who face unforeseen crisis which resulted in financial hardship in the families
  • Of good character records
  • Demonstrated financial needs (with a gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for government bursaries)

Benefits

  • $2,000 per grant
  • Tenable for one year of study

About the Donor

The Pesi B Davar Memorial Fund, established in 1997, in honour of the late Mr Davar, will support Emergency Grants for financially disadvantaged Singapore Citizens pursuing an undergraduate degree in Technology, Accountancy or Business at the Singapore Management University.

The late Mr Pesi B Davar was a prominent member of the local Parsee community and his vision was to provide for needy members of the society. This Emergency Grant was set up to ensure that no students would be deprived of an education due to their financial circumstances.
