About the Financial Award

Established in 2023, the Realstar International Study Award is available to full-time undergraduates from Cambodia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam at the Singapore Management University.  The objective of the Study Award is to support the University's efforts in providing greater access to a quality Singapore university education for students with demonstrated financial needs to achieve academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
  • Citizens from Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam (those with SPR status may also be considered)
  • With demonstrated evidence of financial neediness (with gross monthly household per capita income in accordance with prevailing guidelines to qualify for university study awards)

Benefits

  • $8,000 per year (towards subsidised tuition fee)
  • Tenable for one year of study
  • May be in concurrent receipt of a university study award for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.

Application

Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.
