About the Financial Award
Established in 2021, the SMU Access Endowment Bursary is available to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University. It is aimed to assist financially needy undergraduates to achieve academic excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time first year undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
- Singapore Citizens
- Reside in 3-room type or smaller HDB flat
- Family does not own any private property (including overseas)
- Gross monthly household per capita income not exceeding $750
Benefits
- $7,500 per year (towards subsidised tuition fee)
- Tenable for up to four years of study, subject to the recipient’s continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award.
- May be in concurrent receipt of another bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.
Application
Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

About the Donor
Established in 2021, the SMU Access Endowment Bursary is made possible by a generous and anonymous donor who is a senior leader in the financial industry.
The Bursary is available to financially needy full-time Singaporean undergraduates at the Singapore Management University. This is an extension of the donor’s desire to motivate and encourage undergraduate students to achieve greater heights of academic and practical excellence, despite difficult circumstances.
The donor hopes that in the future, recipients of these bursaries will learn to pay forward and help others who are less privileged.
