About the Award
Established in 2019, the Drew & Napier Prize for Advocacy is aimed at motivating the University's exceptional students' talents from the Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor programmes offered by the Yong Pung How School of Law (YPHSL) at the Singapore Management University and is aimed at spurring them to greater heights of academic excellence. It provides recognition for the top students in Advocacy.
The Prize will be given out at a University-level event or at such other time/event as determined by YPHSL.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Prize will be given to 2 top law students in Advocacy, an elective course offered by YPHSL.
- Factors considered include (but not limited to) the overall course grade and any other factors which demonstrate the student’s all-rounded abilities.
The Prize will only be given if there are candidates of sufficient merit.
Benefits
- Certificate and $1,500 Cash Prize (Top Student)
- Certificate and $500 Cash prize (Finalist)
- With opportunity to apply for, and if offered, complete an internship programme offered by the Donor under mutually agreed terms.
Application
Recipients will be determined by YPHSL.
