About the Financial Award

Established in December 2014, the GZ Charitable Trust Scholarship is made possible by the GZ Charitable Trust. 

The Scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University and seeks to motivate outstanding undergraduates with demonstrated financial need to achieve academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time incoming first-year undergraduates enrolled in any programme of study (with preference for students from the School of Economics and Lee Kong Chian School of Business)
  • Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident
  • Good academic achievements with demonstrated leadership potential
  • Active CCA and/or community service involvement
  • Demonstrated financial need

Benefits

  • $15,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees and/or other study-related expenses)
  • Tenable for up to four years of the recipient’s course of studies, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award
  • The recipient is expected to participate in meaningful community projects in key areas of need

If you would like to be considered for this scholarship, please indicate your interest in the Scholarship section of the online application form for admission. There is no separate scholarship application form.

Special consideration for this scholarship will be given to applicants with demonstrated financial needs. Applicants must also submit a separate financial aid application. This can be done via Applicant’s Self Service, after submitting the online application for admission. Prospective applicants may submit their financial aid application when it opens for its annual exercise from 1 January to 31 May.
