Please share a key highlight of your student life in SMU.

One of the most transformative experiences during my time at SMU has been joining Cognitare, SMU’s premier business case club. This marked the beginning of my consulting journey and sparked a deeper interest in the industry. Through weekly case practices and pitching sessions, I gained insights into various companies across different industries and regions, all while honing my technical skills. The friendships I formed with my peers in Cognitare are among the strongest I’ve made, and we plan our modules together, go for weekly meals and even meet on weekends for leisure!

How has your SMU scholarship benefitted you, not just monetarily but also in terms of your personal development?

The Global Impact Scholarship has been transformative for my personal development, extending beyond financial support. It has connected me with a network of mentors, including seniors and alumni, whose guidance has been instrumental in shaping my academic and career paths. These relationships have offered me valuable insights and practical advice, helping me navigate complex decisions and providing a broader perspective on my goals.

Additionally, the scholarship has facilitated access to specialized modules and workshops that focus on essential skills such as leadership, critical thinking, and effective communication. These opportunities have enhanced my personal growth, making me more self-aware and confident.
