Periods are often uncomfortable and inconvenient experiences for women. So, imagine the experiences of women in underdeveloped countries with no access to menstrual products or even clean water. This is where SMU School of Social Sciences alumna Vanessa Paranjothy saw a better and much-needed solution—menstrual cups. Together with her co-founders, they began Freedom Cups.
