About the Financial Award

Established in 2019, the Eddie & Lindy Chang Overseas Study Mission Grant is available to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.  The objective is to provide assistance to financially needy undergraduates who wish to embark on entrepreneurship and related overseas study missions organized by the University. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
  • Gross monthly household per capita income not exceeding $2,250
  • Successfully registered in any entrepreneurship and related study mission trips including the Global Innovation Immersion Programme organized by the University. 

Benefits

  • $2,250 (cash allowance)
  • Tenable for the approved overseas student programme
  • Mentorship and advice by the Donor, being an alumnuswith established career and personal achievements.

About the Donor

The Eddie and Lindy Chang Study Mission Grants is supported by Ivan Chang (BBM, 2014), a proud SMU alumnus and serial entrepreneur, who co-founded Wonderlabs Ltd and Wonderlabs Foundation in 2018 with the vision to support philanthropic causes that are close to his heart.  The SMU experience has given Ivan many opportunities to develop and enrich his out-of-classroom learning which has given him a good head-start in bring successful in his business and personal life.  Ivan is an active alumnus, volunteers his time and lends his network to support alumni engagement activities.  The establishment of the overseas study mission grants is yet another demonstration of Ivan’s generosity and volunteerism to support SMU in honour of his parents, Mr and Mrs Eddie and Lindy Chang, who have been instrumental in shaping Ivan’s perceptions in supporting the less privileged in the community.
