About the Donor

Professor Holly Yang moved to Singapore in 2013 and initially joined the School of Accountancy as a visiting faculty member. However, the School’s energetic, collegial, and supportive culture led her to remain and eventually join full-time. This gift commemorates the 25th Anniversary of the School of Accountancy and is named in honour of her parents, Jack Yang and Helen Chen, to whom she is deeply grateful for exposing her to different cultures and people from a young age. Holly believes these experiences helped her better understand and adapt to different environments, while also shaping her collaborative and community-oriented spirit. Through this gift, she hopes to provide financially needy students with the opportunity to go overseas, immerse themselves in another culture, broaden their horizons, and gain experiences that will shape both their personal and professional growth.
