About the Financial Award

Established in 2023, the Allen & Gledhill Scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates from the Yong Pung How School of Law at the Singapore Management University.  It aims to motivate bright law students to reach new heights of academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time year 1 to year 3 undergraduates from the Yong Pung How School of Law 
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Possessed good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
  • Have demonstrated leadership and communications skills with record of co-curricular activity and/or community service involvement
  • Special consideration will be given to students experiencing demonstrated financial difficulties, evidenced from family household income (gross monthly per capita income in accordance with prevailing income thresholds to qualify for bursaries)

This scholarship does not consider undergraduates who are proceeding to their final year of study in the year of award.

Benefits

  • $15,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees and study-related expenses)
  • Tenable for up to 2 years of each recipient’s academic studies, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award.
  • Recipient may be in concurrent receipt of a bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria (for Singaporean students only).

Prospective Students
Applicants interested to be considered for this scholarship are to indicate interest in the Scholarship section of the online application form for admission. There is no separate scholarship application form.

Special consideration for this scholarship will be given to applicants with demonstrated financial needs. Applicants must also submit a separate financial aid application. This can be done via Applicant’s Self Service, after submitting the online application for admission. Prospective applicants may submit their financial aid application when it opens for its annual exercise from 1 January to 31 May.
