About the Financial Award
Established in 2025, the Angen Scholarship is to motivate outstanding undergraduates at the University, with demonstrated financial needs, to spur them on to greater heights of academic excellence and to accord appropriate recognition to the recipients of the Scholarship for their accomplishments.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduates in any degree programme
- Singapore Citizen
- Achieved good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
- Demonstrated financial need throughout the Scholarship’s tenure, in line with MOE’s prevailing criteria (may be periodically revised).
Benefits
- $13,333 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees)
- Tenable for up to 1 year of study
- Singaporean students may apply for government bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria

About the Donor
Angen Fund Management Pte. Ltd. is an investment management company established in Singapore. The company’s principal business activities are investments in Singapore and global capital markets, with a long-term view on strategic positions.
The company was founded and remains managed by Mr. Fang Angzhen, a professional investor in global capital markets since the 1990s, and now a candidate for SMU PhD and SUSS DBA. Mr. Fang believes every student deserves an equal opportunity to succeed. With this scholarship, he hopes to level the playing field and enable students from disadvantaged backgrounds to compete with their peers on an equal footing. This not only fosters social mobility but also promotes diversity, inclusivity, and meritocracy in education.
