About the Financial Award
Established in 2026, the Diana Koh International Exchange Scholarship seeks to encourage financially needy students to sign up for an overseas exchange programme during their course of study at the Singapore Management University by providing financial support to them, alleviating financial challenges facing them funding the programme on their own.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time undergraduate students at the University
- Primarily for Singapore Citizens. However, in any academic year, the Scholarship may be awarded to the most deserving eligible candidate who is either a Singapore Permanent Resident or a foreign student
- Good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
- Must provide evidence that the family’s gross monthly household per capita income does not exceed the prevailing income threshold for government-funded bursaries [Priority will be given to students with verified per capita income (PCI) and/or Gross Household Income (GHI)]
Benefits
- Valued at S$5,000 for studying abroad at any of the University’s partner universities in Asia, or S$10,000 for studying abroad at partner universities outside Asia (to fund exchange-related expenses)
- Tenable for a period of one academic year for a recipient’s one semester of study abroad with any of the University’s partner universities
Conditions of Award
- The Recipient must submit a bursary application to validate their household income
- The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University

Applications will be invited through Centre for Global Education and Opportunities' call for exchange applications:
- February to March (Fall exchange application)
- July to August (Spring exchange application)

About the Donor
The late Diana Koh Ming Ying was a highly talented and accomplished veteran in the accounting and advisory field in Singapore. Her professional success was built on her hard work and dedication as well as being the very caring and compassionate person that she was. In line with her well known generosity, a legacy to support deserving students at SMU has been established with a contribution from her estate.
