About the Donor
The Green Key Emergency Grant is supported by an anonymous donor, in loving honour of a dear friend.
The donor firmly believes that financial hurdles should never disrupt a student's educational momentum. "Green Key" represents a key to stability that provides the green light for students to access crucial funds to ensure the continuity of their SMU education. This support is focused on students enrolled in the College of Integrative Studies, the School of Economics, and the School of Social Sciences, SMU schools with which the donor's friend maintained close ties.
Ultimately, the donor hopes that the students who benefit from this compassionate lift will carry the spirit of the gift forward, creating a cycle of generosity by paying it forward and supporting the needy when they can in their professional lives.
