About the Financial Award
Established in 2021, the Ian R. Taylor Asia Scholarship is available to outstanding freshmen commencing their education at the Singapore Management University. The objective is to provide equal access to education and to nurture them to be creative, reflective global citizens and future leaders devoted to creating meaningful impact in business and society.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time incoming freshman enrolled in any degree programmes
- Citizens of South Asia (Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives) or Emerging Asia (China, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam), including citizens who are Singapore Permanent Residents.
- Good academic results (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00)
- Active involvement in co-curricular and/or community service activities
- Special consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated financial needs (with gross monthly household per capita income not exceeding the prevailing limits to qualify for Singapore government bursaries)
Benefits
- $25,000 per annum (towards subsidised tuition fees and study-related expenses)
- Tenable for up to 4 years of the recipient’s academic studies, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award.

Special consideration is given to applicants with financial needs. After you have submitted your admission application. You are required to submit a separate bursary application form via the Applicant’s Self Service from 1 January 1 to 31 May
