Made possible by the family of the late Madam Helen Chua Chin Xiang, the Helen Chua Chin Xiang Best Senior Thesis in Sociology is aimed at motivating the University's exceptional talent in the School of Social Sciences (SOSS) at the School of Social Sciences, and spurring students to achieve greater heights of academic excellence.  It provides recognition of excellence in the senior thesis for students majoring in Sociology.

Established in 2025, the Hiew Yoon Khong and Lee Su Chin Emergency Grant aims to assist students who face unforeseen crisis that result in financial hardship, while their families seek for longer-term solutions to meet their financial needs, by providing them with one-off emergency funding.

Established in 2019, the Hiew Yoon Khong and Lee Su Chin Scholarship aims to encourage and provide a pathway for bright full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled at the University to aspire to greater heights of excellence in spite of adversity and financial hardship, with the hope of encouraging the Scholars to contribute back to their community and society in the future.

Funded by the Government, the Higher Education Bursary (formerly known as the MOE Bursary) provides financial assistance to Singaporean students from the lower to middle income groups , as part of the Government's commitment to ensure that no able students are deterred by the cost of post-secondary education due to their financial circumstances.

The Higher Education Community Bursary (formerly known as the CDC/CCC-University Bursary) provides financial assistance to Singaporean students from low income groups. This scheme is co-funded by the Government, Community Development Council (CDC) and Citizens' Consultative Committee (CCC).

Established in 2010, the SMU CIRCLE Award is aimed at recognising distinctive graduating students who have demonstrated the core CIRCLE values during their tenure of studies at the Singapore Management University.

The Ho See Beng Scholarship is funded by the proceeds of an endowed sum by friends and business associates of the late Mr Ho See Beng who was the former Member of Parliament, Co-founder and 1st President of the National Trade Union Congress. Mr Ho was well-known for his contributions to the Singapore's Labour movement and honoured with the Public Service Star for his work in 1990.

Established in 2024, the Hope Study Award is available to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.  It aims to encourage bright undergraduates to aspire for academic excellence in spite of adversity and financial hardship.
